Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Fighter’ banned in Gulf, except the UAE

Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone’s fans residing in Gulf countries who were eagerly anticipating the release of their film ‘Fighter’ have received disappointing news. According to Girish Johar, a film business expert and producer, the movie has been officially banned for theatrical release across the Middle East regions, except for the UAE where it will be released with a PG15 classification. The specific reason for the ban has not been disclosed at this time.

Despite facing obstacles with the censor board in Gulf countries, ‘Fighter’, an aerial action thriller, is set to hit Indian theaters on January 25. Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film also features Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, and Akshay Oberoi.

The storyline of the movie revolves around the Balakot airstrike conducted by the Indian Armed Forces near the town of Balakot in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. This airstrike was carried out in response to a terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, allegedly orchestrated by the terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM). The attack resulted in the loss of nearly 40 CRPF soldiers.
