TENSION ESCALATES AT MIRA ROAD: MOBS ATTACK HINDU CARS CARRYING FLAG

A dispute broke out between two communities in Mira Road, Maharashtra over sloganeering, ahead of the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.

Prior to the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, a conflict arose between two communities in the Naya Nagar area of Mira Road near Mumbai, Maharashtra. As a result of this dispute, law enforcement promptly intervened and apprehended five individuals. The Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) stated that an investigation has been initiated in relation to this incident.

Based on the information provided by police officials, the incident took place at approximately 11 p.m. on Sunday. DCP Jayant Bajbale, in a conversation with news agency ANI, provided further details. He mentioned that around 11 p.m. on January 21, a group of individuals from the Hindu community were chanting slogans in 3-4 vehicles in the Naya Nagar area of Mira Road.

Elaborating further, he stated, “Subsequently, an argument ensued with certain individuals from the Muslim community. Recognizing the escalating situation, the police swiftly arrived at the scene and detained several individuals.”

The DCP confirmed that the situation has been brought under control and a flag march was conducted in the area. “Naya Nagar Police has filed a case against 5 individuals, arrested them, and commenced an investigation into the matter,” he added.
