Motivational speaker Vivek Bindra was arrested on suspicion of raping his wife a day after their wedding earlier this month, ToI reported citing police sources.

On December 14, a case was filed against Vivek Bindra, international motivational speaker and CEO and founder of Bada Business Pvt Ltd, by the victim’s brother at the Noida Sector 126 police station.

The incident took place on December 7, a day after the wedding, when Bindra argued with her mother and Kwatra’s sister Yanika decided to mediate, TOI reported, quoting the victim’s brother.

“Vivek took my sister to the room, locked her, and beat her. He even abused her. She has injury marks on her body and also has hearing problems,” Kwatra said. According to reports, Bindra also damaged the victim’s mobile phone. Due to the severity of his injuries, he was taken to Kailash Deepak Hospital in Kalkardoma, Delhi for treatment.

On December 14, a case under Section 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt) was registered against Bindra.
